Using Compt Agent with Your OpenAI API Key

To use Compt Agent, you will need to generate an OpenAI API key. After the API key is generated, go back up and click the settings icon to add your API key. After your API key is entered, you can start using Compt Agent (you may need to refresh the window).

IMPORTANT:

• All API keys are stored locally and will be removed when you clear your cache.
• You may be charged by OpenAI for using API keys. These charges are usually small, around $0.002 per 1000 tokens.
• You may incur additional charges from other API's if you use them for tools.
• We are not responsible for any charges by external API's.
• We recommend you set hard-limits on your API keys to avoid surprise charges. ($5 for low to moderate usage)

Using Compt Agent with Other APIs

Using certain tools may require additional API keys. For example, the Serp API tool requires the Serp API (duh).

To obtain API keys for these tools, search for the tool name online and locate the API generation page for that API. Once you have generated your API key, return to the chat, click on settings, and enter your newly generated API key in the appropriate input box.
